The U.S. EPA will be holding a one-day training to provide drinking water utilities with detailed information on America's Water Infrastructure Act: Section 2013 and 2018. Specifically the training will cover the new risk assessment and emergency response plan requirements. During the training, participants will learn about the new risk and resilience assessment and emergency response plan requirements and deadlines. In addition, participants will learn how to use the updated Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool to conduct the risk assessment and the new Emergency Response Plan Guidance and Template to develop and/or update an emergency response plan. Participants will have the opportunity to ask detailed questions regarding the requirements. Finally, participants will be informed on the certification process as well as  new emergency spill notification requirements and chemical inventory data availability. 

Those wishing to attend the training in person or via webinar must register by November 1, 2019. When registering, please select one of the following options:

• Attend the meeting in person. The meeting will be held at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center - EPA Region 4 Office. Please note there are a limited number of spots available.

• Attend the meeting via webinar with your respective state. Instructions for accessing the webinar will be sent to registered attendees prior to the meeting.

Registered attendees requesting in-person attendance will receive a confirmation email with details on how to access the facility no later than October 1, 2019.

Registered attendees requesting attendance via webinar will receive a confirmation email with details on accessing the webinar link no later than November 7, 2019.
